Dryer VS. Ball Point Pen and other questionably interesting things

I've never blogged before.  Never had a blog, never ever even READ a blog.  Interestingly enough, my road to creating my blog is due to ink in my dryer.  I was on the internet hunt for a solution to this unsightly problem.  My one year old dryer battled with a ball point pen and the pen won.  In my internet search for a way to clean the ink off the dryer drum, I stumbled upon a blog which had tips on how to achieve this goal (NO... I haven't tried it yet, but I will).  It seems that if I saturate a couple of old towels with a combo of bleach and water and let them go for 30 minutes on low,  that ink will magically disappear.  I'm skeptical.  We will see.

Anyway, I was inspired.  I thought to myself "Hmmmmm... a blog.  Interesting.  Give it a try!"  And so it goes...

It was a beautiful day in Notre Dame Country, Indiana.  Notre Dame, you ask?  Why yes, I'm an Irish fan.  Love football whether the Irish are awesome (12 wins, ZERO losses in 2012!  Nevamind about that silly Bowl game), or not so awesome, as they have been over the past... oh, couple of DECADES now.  I also am a huge fan of the women's basketball team.  They made it to the Final Four this year, but just couldn't pull off a win against their nemesis - UConn.  Oh well... better luck next year.  Skylar Diggins is graduating, but our Irish gals will kick ass without her!

Still reading?  Excellent!

I've been on my own now for 15 months.  I left after 22 years of marriage.  And that's all I plan to say about that.

49 is coming in about three weeks.  I can handle 49.  35 brought on my mid-life crisis which lasted about 6 hours.  I figured at least half my life was over and there wasn't a damn thing I could do about it, so why sweat it?

Some might consider me to be a "crazy cat lady;" however, I dispute that.  I live with two teenage cats who are both adorable and maddening at the same time.  Photos to come once I figure out how to post photos!

So, enough about me.  I hope someone stumbles across my blog and makes a comment.  I've got a tough skin, so be honest.  Give me pointers, tell me about yourself.

'Til next time (that's assuming I can figure out how to get back here and post again!).

Cheers!
